The High Auror gave the Chief of Staff a nod of understanding before he reached out for the written order he had presented, pocketing it and rose to his feet with a look of intense determination. Of course, he was not green at the Auror's trade by any stretch of the imagination. He had already seen to it that the matter of Gellert Grindelwald's infiltration of the Magical Congress of the United States of America and the detection of any potential accomplices and sympathizers was being dealt with by Internal Affairs, which thus far had lead to the arrest and consequent dismissal of three federal executors who willingly had done Grindelwald's bidding with no regard for the law, the activities of his followers, especially in light of the potential presence of a murderer of Histoff's caliber, were being investigated by the Northern Auror Division as they spoke and he had a very good idea about what kind of questions he would ask the Dark Wizard during the interrogation. All in all, while they had much that still needed to be done, Mr. Fontaine himself felt reasonably confident all ground that could be covered was covered. At least for now. He was about to turn towards the door, when he recalled something, and turned back to his superior again:
"Speaking of special orders," he said, reaching into a different pocket on his coat and produced a long, thin something wrapped in wine red velvet, and looked down on it, now smiling slightly. "I took it upon myself to write Theseus Scamander in response to a handful of unanswered messages addressed to Mr. Graves expressing concern and anger about the arrest of his brother. I explained the situation, and once he learned Grindelwald had been apprehended at last, he wrote back with an elaborate suggestion in regard to the security measures that conceivably be placed around Grindelwald's cell to ensure he stays there, and let me tell you, Mr. Rastlin, the British Aurors aren't labeled 'Dark Wizard catchers' for nothing."
He looked up and stepped over to the desk; "He even gave us a gift." Mr. Fontaine placed the package on Mr. Rastlin's desk and carefully unfolded the soft fabric to reveal something that looked very much like a thin, metallic wand in gold. He picked it up and held it out so that Mr. Rastlin could examine it if he wanted to. "He called it a Probity Probe. The Ministry of Magic in London had their Committee on Experimental Charm, their Dark Arts Civil Protection Council and honorary members of their country's branch of the international Dark Force Defense League work together for several months perfecting it. It is, according to Mr. Scamander, the single most advanced Secrecy Sensor known to wizardkind to date, and if it is only half as effective as Mr. Scamander claims, I can guarantee you, sir, that it still outshines anything we have ever produced. It can detect any manner of concealment spells or hidden magical objects. It even works on Polyjuice Potion, supposedly. He felt that the few weeks or so it would take to do the same to the remaining prototypes is a small price to pay for Grindelwald's continued containment."
